Welcome to the August 2025 edition of my newsletter. This time we are looking back to the debut of my new show, getting help to plan your event, recommended event suppliers, and how to remember the names of the people who come.

New Show Success!

I debuted my new show “Robert Bone: Magician & Mind-Reader” last month at The Roseate in Reading.

The show features brand new material, but also includes some bits that I last performed in public in 2011. It has an underlying narrative exploring skill and intuition, and as ever finishes with a twist that leaves the audience questioning what they have witnessed.

The show received numerous 5 Star reviews.

Event Planners

It is not something many people think of when they are organising a wedding or event, but there are a whole range of reasons and advantages to using a professional event planner.

Not only does it remove a layer of stress and means you can relax and enjoy yourself, there are many other reasons why using an event planner can help – and not all of them are obvious!

Over the years I have worked with a lot of wedding and event suppliers, based right across southern England. If you organising an event make sure you take a look – even if you think you have everything covered there may be something you’ve overlooked.

Any service I recommend would be provided a professional who I know and have worked with before, and therefore I am happy to personally endorse them.

Remembering Names

Although people often ask me about the magic and mindreading I perform; something else that people notice and comment about is my ability to remember the names of the guests when I’m circulating at an event, and how I do it.

I don’t claim to be a ‘memory man’, but there are certain techniques I use to remember names (amongst other things) when I’m performing; and I share some tips so you can do the same.

Upcoming Live Shows

NEW FOREST

I will be back to Milford on Sea Community Centre (in the New Forest, Hampshire) on Saturday 28th March 2026. This will be my third performance at the venue – which will include close-up magic, a two course meal, and finishing with a 45 minute show.

As it just confirmed the other day I’ll provide more details and booking links once known, but if you are in the New Forest area be sure to pop the date in your diary.

Following the success of my show at the Roseate in July I am planning on returning again in October. More details to follow once the date has been confirmed.
