Welcome to the July 2026 newsletter, and apologies for missing one (I’ve had people ask if they’d missed it) but the last few months have been pretty busy. Actually they’ve been really busy, as those who follow me on social media often mention when they see me!
Social Media
Over the last few months I’ve been making more of an effort on keeping my social media updated on an (almost) daily basis, though I must admit I’m much more at home performing in real life than I am through a mobile phone’s camera!
I’m posting a variety of pictures from previous events, performance videos, amusing thoughts, news of upcoming events, and I will be introducing more video content to also help people planning events.
If you have any thoughts for what you’d like to see on my social feeds please let me know – your input will be gratefully received.

As mentioned I’ll be doing short videos on my social media where I’ll be giving tips to help when planning a wedding, party or corporate event; which will explore further the ideas covered in my 10 Tips To Book The Best Magician For Your Event book.
The book breaks down ten core tips to bear in mind when booking magical entertainment for your events, and draws on my twenty years of experience as a professional magician. Each explores different facets that you may have overlooked, with real life examples.
Naturally the bias is towards integrating magic and mind-reading, but the tips can also apply to many other forms of event entertainment. It covers events such as small parties, wedding and large corporate events; and is essential not just for someone organising their own event, but professional event managers and venue coordinators have been finding it useful.

20 Years of Magic
2026 marks my 20th year as a full-time professional magician – I know, I don’t look old enough! 😉
My very first professional booking was in September 2006, and just a couple months later performing magic had become my sole source of income.
I haven’t decided yet what I’ll do to mark the anniversary, but I do feel as so I should do something special. If you have any thoughts or ideas I’d love to know.

Shared Christmas Parties
For an incredible FIFTH consecutive year I will be back to Sandford Springs near to Kingsclere and Newbury, for their Shared Christmas Party Nights. As well as having me mingling around each table showing close-up magic there will be a disco and an “around the world” theme for the menu.
These are always great fun where I see plenty of familiar faces each year. Although popular with local small businesses, tables can also be booked for social clubs; or even just a group of friends wanting a festive get-together.
