Worton Hall Wedding and Event Magician

I’m really pleased to be one of Worton Hall‘s official recommended suppliers, it a fantastic venue for weddings (as well as private parties and corporate events) set in the Cotswolds. It’s conveniently located close to Cassington (near to Oxford) so has great links for attending guests. However, it’s set in beautiful rural countryside, so perfect for those wanting a wedding that is “off the beaten track”.

Worton Hall is probably best summarised as a “converted barn”, but offers so much more. This is why the venue works so well as an event space.

Firstly the overall feel of the venue is clean and tidy, with a modern and contemporary style. The flag stone flooring gives a good surface (unlike older barns where the flooring can be described as “wobbly” at best!), with plenty of exposed wood. Of course, this all complements the honey-yellow Cotswold stone the area is famous for. Essentially we are talking the quintessential English-country style wedding venue.

Whilst the main hall lends itself perfectly to the wedding breakfast and late night entertainment, there are two other areas; the Hayloft Gallery which over-looks the Main Hall, and Cresswell Lounge, giving your guests a place to sit and relax with a drink. This means that couple planning their big day have plenty of options to ensure they make the maximum use of the space.

Oh, and there is also a stage a area in case it should be needed for a band, or even an after-dinner mind-reading cabaret show for a corporate event! 😉

I first attended Worton Hall at Sophie and Simon’s wedding in April 2022 – however it should have been in 2020 but with Covid restrictions they had to postpone their wedding date twice! However, hopefully it was worth the wait because it was a fantastic day. I was booked to entertain the guests during the afternoon reception whilst Sophie and Simon were off posing for their photographs. Fortunately I managed to catch them to ensure they saw a few tricks.

Once the guests were called through to eat I continue entertaining around the tables in the Main Hall. This meant that I could ensure that no one missed out on seeing an magic, and I also like to vary the repertoire a little as I circulate around the tables.
